The University of Tennessee Health Science Center maintains a comprehensive group of donor recognition clubs and societies designed to extend appreciation and recognition to generous Health Science Center contributors.

Current Recognition Clubs and Societies

The Hershel P. Wall, M.D. Legacy Society

The Legacy Society was created in honor of Dr. Hershel "Pat" Wall, former Chancellor and Dean of the College of Medicine for the UT Health Science Center, current Special Assistant to the UT President, and Instructor in Pediatrics since 1965. Donors become members of the Legacy Society by making a planned gift or bequest. Leadership Annual Giving Societies

Recognizes leadership annual donors (gifts only to the Health Science Center's unrestricted College or Campus Funds):

  • Bronze: $1,000 - $2,499
  • Silver: $2,500 - $4,999
  • Gold: $5,000 - $9,999
  • Platinum: $10,000 and above

The Tennessee Society

Recognizes those who give or pledge as much as $25,000 to UTHSC. The sum may be made as a single gift or pledged.

The Heritage Society

Recognizes contributors whose cumulative giving or pledges equals or exceeds $50,000.

The Benefactors Society

Recognizes contributors whose cumulative giving or pledges equals or exceeds $100,000.

The Charles Dabney Society

Recognizes contributors whose cumulative giving or pledges equals or exceeds $500,000.

The Founders Society

Recognizes contributors whose cumulative giving or pledges equals or exceeds $1,000,000.

1794 Society

Recognizes contributors whose cumulative giving or pledges equals or exceeds $5,000,000.

The Torchbearer Society

Recognizes contributors whose cumulative giving or pledges equals or exceeds $10,000,000.
