UTHSC Alumni Named 2013 William H. Briner Distinguished Achievement Award in Nuclear Pharmacy

Robert “Bob” Beightol (PharmD '71) will receive the 2013 William H. Briner Distinguished Achievement Award in Nuclear Pharmacy Practice at the American Pharmacists Association Annual Meeting and Exposition, March 1-4, Los Angeles, CA.

Sponsored by DuPont Pharma Radiopharmaceuticals, Mallinckrodt Inc., Nycomed-Amersham, and Syncor International Corporation, the award is named in memory of Capt. William H. Briner, a pioneer in the development of the nuclear pharmacy practice specialty. It recognizes the achievements of an individual who has made a significant contribution or sustained contributions to the provision of pharmaceutical care within the practice areas represented by the APhA-APPM Section on Nuclear Pharmacy Practice.
